Hooray for submissions!

A few photos have been uploaded to the forums! Very cool. I’m adding them to the gallery now so a big thanks to ghostykips. They posted their flickr link which had a photo with the following caption:

The panda is back! by ghostykips.

“Here he is at Bowling Green. … is it a he? I told him he had a following on the Internet, but he stayed silent. Still friendly though! “

How soon will you update your blog? I’m interested in reading some more information on this issue.

Heya, I work at the National Museum of the American Indian, and I see Sad Panda almost everyday. He actually became a symbol of our 2009 Native American Film Festival….we were so sad the day after the festival—to see all our old and new friends leave—that it became an expression of the festival team and the filmmakers to say, “I’m Sad Panda” and walk around like a Sad Panda.

Also, I tried to pay talk to him at the beginning of the festival (point of this story) to see if I tipped him from my own personal money if he would pass out flyers to the festival….that’s when we realized he doesn’t speak English. He’s from Thailand. Yep, I know. There are no pandas in Thailand. But thought that might interest ya. Also his Spanish (which is minimal to none, is better than his English). Hence the communication didn’t go very far.

I’ve been thinking about asking my Thai friend to help me speak to him. We love Sad Panda. But he makes us sad….. :(
